—Terms
The agreement, in plain words.
Short, because it should be. Using JOURNY means you are fine with what follows.
Last updated 11 August 2026. Written and maintained by Jagesh Pandey, who built JOURNY.
Who you are agreeing with
JOURNY is built and run by Jagesh Pandey, an individual based in India, not a registered company. There is no company, no registered office and no support desk. There is one person, reachable at hi@jageshpandey.com.
You need to be 18 or older to use JOURNY.
What JOURNY is, and is not
JOURNY organises money you record yourself and explains what it finds. It adds up numbers you typed in and describes the result.
It is not any of these, and does not hold a licence to be:
- A bank, or any kind of financial institution. It holds no money and moves none.
- A broker, an investment adviser, or a research analyst.
- A tax adviser or an accountant.
- A lender or a credit provider.
Nothing in JOURNY is financial advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Projections and estimates are labelled as such inside the product because they are arithmetic on your past, not a forecast anyone stands behind. Decisions about your money are yours, and worth checking with a qualified professional when they matter.
Your account
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from a signed-in session counts as done by you.
- Give a real email address. It is how you get back in if you are locked out.
- One person per account. Do not use JOURNY to store someone else’s financial data without their say-so.
- You can delete your account whenever you want, from Settings.
What you put in stays yours
Your records belong to you. Using JOURNY does not hand me any ownership of them, and I make no commercial use of them. Export them as JSON from Settings at any moment, including on your way out.
The software, the design and the name are mine. Please do not copy the product or pass it off as your own.
The AI features
If you add your own Google Gemini key, JOURNY will use it to put your numbers into sentences. The arithmetic is always JOURNY’s own code and the model is never allowed to produce a figure. Even so, language models can phrase things poorly, and the numbers on screen are the authority, not the paragraph around them. Your use of Google’s service is governed by your agreement with Google.
Cost
JOURNY is free right now. If a paid tier ever arrives, existing features will not be pulled out from under you without warning, and you will hear about it before anything changes.
What I can and cannot promise
JOURNY is provided as it is. It is an early product, maintained by one person, and it may have bugs, go down, or change. I will not promise uptime I cannot guarantee.
Keep your own copy of anything you would hate to lose. The JSON export in Settings exists for exactly this, and backups are the one thing no service can do on your behalf.
To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for losses arising from using JOURNY, including any financial decision made after reading something in it. Where the law does not allow that to be excluded, my liability is limited to what you have paid me, which today is nothing.
Ending it
Leave whenever you like: delete your account in Settings and it is done. I may suspend an account that is being used to break the law, to attack the service, or to harm someone else. If JOURNY itself ever shuts down, I will give notice and time to export before it goes.
Changes, and where disputes go
These terms may change as the product does. Material changes will be noted by the date at the top of this page. Carrying on with JOURNY after a change means the new version applies.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Uttar Pradesh, India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
They take effect on 11 August 2026. How your data is handled is set out in the privacy policy.
